Approach coverage at Central Kentucky Regional

Both ends of the single 18/36 runway have published approach coverage, so the procedure set is not concentrated on one landing direction. The three approaches combine two RNAV (GPS) procedures with a VOR procedure, providing more than one form of instrument guidance. With no second runway, however, every published approach leads to the same 5,001 ft alignment.

Regional chart context

Blue Grass has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Mount Sterling/Montgomery County has markedly thinner coverage. Stuart Powell Field, London/Corbin/Magee and Georgetown-Scott County Regional are closer to Central Kentucky Regional in chart volume. The Cincinnati and St Louis sectional charts add wider VFR context around Richmond beyond the airport-specific diagram and instrument procedures.
