Lynchburg Regional/Preston Glenn Field has published approaches to all four runway ends, rather than concentrating instrument coverage on the longer 04/22. The five approach charts collectively provide four RNAV (GPS) procedures plus ILS and localiser options. With 04/22 at 7,100 ft and 17/35 at 3,386 ft, the shorter runway has less than half the length; for aircraft requiring more than 3,386 ft, only 04/22 meets that basic runway-length requirement.
Nearby procedure coverage is much thinner. Brookneal/Campbell County and Farmville Regional have the broadest neighbouring sets at four charts each, while Falwell and Smith Mountain Lake have two. The Cincinnati and Washington sectionals add wider VFR context beyond the airport-specific procedures, with Lynchburg covered on both sheets.
