Mammoth Yosemite’s chart set is weighted towards departures: two departure procedures and one obstacle departure procedure accompany a single RNAV (GPS) approach. That approach serves only one end of runway 09/27, leaving the opposite end without a published instrument approach. With one 7,000 ft runway, there is no second alignment available.
Bishop has a similarly broad chart set, while Hawthorne Industrial and Mariposa-Yosemite each have noticeably thinner coverage. The Las Vegas and San Francisco sectionals add the wider visual-navigation context that the airport’s small terminal procedure set—and absence of a published airport diagram—does not provide.
