Monte Vista Municipal’s three approaches all serve a single runway end: two use RNAV (GPS) and one uses VOR guidance. This provides both satellite-based and VOR options for the same arrival direction, but no published approach coverage for any other runway end. There is also no separate FAA airport diagram.
The 5,902 ft asphalt runway is substantially longer than the two dirt runways, at 2,100 and 2,300 ft. Those shorter strips add alignments, but their dimensions restrict the aircraft able to use them compared with Runway 02/20. San Luis Valley Regional/Bergman Field has broader chart coverage nearby, Astronaut Kent Rominger has a comparable set, and Stevens Field is thinner. The Denver Sectional supplies the broader visual context absent from the instrument procedures.
