Central Wyoming Regional’s instrument coverage is concentrated on two of its four runway ends. The mix of ILS/localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provides both ground-based and satellite-based approach options, but leaves the remaining two ends without a published approach. Runway 10/28 provides 3,404 ft more length than 01/19, making it the only alignment available to aircraft requiring more than 4,800 ft.
Among nearby airports, Worland Municipal has chart coverage closest in breadth to RIW’s, while Hunt Field and Hot Springs County have notably thinner procedure sets. The Cheyenne Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context around Riverton that the airport diagram and instrument procedures do not show.

Yes — 1 ILS procedure is published. In total KRIW has 5 published instrument approaches, of which 2 are RNAV (GPS).
The official FAA airport diagram for Central Wyoming Rgnl is free to download at the top of this page. It shows runways, taxiways, ramp layout and hold-short positions, and is reissued every 28 days.
The field elevation is 5,516 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.
No — Central Wyoming Rgnl has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
