Procedure coverage

Egegik’s instrument set is tightly focused: two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve two of the airport’s four runway ends. Published approach coverage therefore reaches only half of the available alignments, with no other approach type represented. No airport diagram accompanies the procedures.

Runways and wider coverage

The runway lengths are sharply unequal. At 1,500 ft, 03/21 is 4,100 ft shorter than 12/30, making the latter the only alignment with more than 1,500 ft of published runway length; both are unpaved. Nearby procedure coverage is similarly thin at South Naknek Nr 2 and Clarks Point, and only slightly broader at Pilot Point. King Salmon’s 12-chart set is markedly broader. The Kodiak Sectional adds wider VFR context beyond Egegik’s airport-specific instrument procedures.
