Go PROKodiak Island sits at the centre of a sheet spanning the western Gulf of Alaska, Shelikof Strait and a long section of the Alaska Peninsula. Coverage reaches north across the Iliamna and Lake Clark country towards the southern Alaska Range, while the eastern side takes in lower Cook Inlet and the waters off the Kenai Peninsula.
This is predominantly rugged coastal flying: mountainous islands, deeply cut bays, exposed headlands and broad stretches of open water. Inland, the terrain rises through the volcanic spine of the Alaska Peninsula and the Aleutian Range, contrasting with the lower country towards Bristol Bay.
Routes continuing east transfer to the Seward or Anchorage sheets, while McGrath provides the northern continuation. Bethel and Dutch Harbor adjoin to the west, with Cold Bay covering the south-westward extension. Those overlaps matter for flights following the Alaska Peninsula, crossing towards Cook Inlet or moving between the Gulf coast and south-western Alaska.

Approach plates and airport diagrams for every airport in the states this sheet covers:
Flying the area on this sheet? Every approach plate and airport diagram for Alaska is available as a single 140.9 MB archive (594 charts) — see the Alaska airports.
It spans 55.5°N to 60.3°N and 163.4°W to 150.7°W. Airports on the sheet fall within Alaska. The full list of public-use airports within its coverage is on this page.
Take the GeoTIFF if you are loading the chart into moving-map software or a flight planner — it is georeferenced, so the software can place it correctly on a map, and it ships with a world file and FGDC metadata at 300 dpi (50.2 MB). Take the PDF to print it or read it on a second screen (101.4 MB); it is the same chart without georeferencing.
This is the FAA edition effective 9 July 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. Visual charts are reissued every 56 days and we publish each new edition on the day it takes effect. It is for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
Cold Bay to the south-west, McGrath to the north, Seward to the east, Anchorage to the east, Bethel to the west and Dutch Harbor to the west. Each is linked from this page, so a route running off one edge can be continued on the next sheet.
