EGSS Stansted Airport gets a refreshed AFCAD aligned to Google Earth imagery, repositioning gates, taxiways, nodes, vehicle paths, generic buildings, apron polygons, the control tower, and perimeter fencing for smoother ground flow. Updated lighting strips, a fixed taxiway node to prevent runway U-turns, and an added helipad start improve AI and operations in FSX.

AFCAD File For EGSS, Stansted Airport, UK. The gates, nodes, taxiways, vehicle paths, generic buildings, apron polygons, control tower and fences have been relocated to conform to Google Earth aerial photographs. By Eric G. Hansen.

This is an update of my original AFCAD for Stansted. I forgot to move the apron light strips from the default in the original to the actual in the new AFCAD. In addition, I detached one taxiway node which was causing the landing AI aircraft to make a U-turn in the middle of the runway when landing. A start location was added to the helipad.

The .bgl files should be placed in any folder that is registered in your scenery library in FSX. The files are compiled with an FSX compiler and probably will not work properly in FS9.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
