Immerse yourself in a classic narrow-body twinjet experience with this freeware British Airways Boeing 757-200 in the distinctive “Bennyhone” theme. Created by Project Open Sky and expertly repainted by Sandy Richardson, this add-on brings a faithful rendition of the famous 757 operated by British Airways. Historically, British Airways integrated the 757 fleet into both domestic and European routes, taking full advantage of its range and efficient powerplants.

Captivating Livery and Aircraft Representation

Building on the legacy of the 757 platform, this rendition delivers remarkable graphical and operational fidelity. The “Bennyhone” paint scheme, known for its unique tail design, is captured in fine detail. Flight simulator enthusiasts, who recognize the 757’s characteristic elongated fuselage and sleek profile, will appreciate the attention to the aircraft’s geometry and overall dimensions.

Key Technical Highlights

  • Dynamic exterior shine: Enlivens the aircraft’s metallic surfaces under changing sunlight.
  • Wingview or Virtual Cockpit (VC): Switch between an external wing perspective or a fully immersive 3D cockpit.

  • Enhanced C32A specifics: Incorporates specialized performance settings for 757-200 variants, reflecting updates in geometry and behavior.
  • Precise aerodynamics: Balances thrust, lift, and drag according to real pilot feedback and reference charts.
  • Damage modeling: Includes system failures affecting flaps, landing gear, hydraulic elements, and engines.
  • Multiple engine types: Matches varied thrust outputs, fuel burn profiles, and gauge configurations to each engine variant.
  • Optional gear configurations: Adjust modeling for optimized appearance or performance tuning.
  • Complete operating manual: Contains speed tables and recommended settings for all phases of flight.
  • Improved lighting effects: Exploits FS2004’s capabilities with more detailed illumination on external structures.

Installation Procedure

  1. Unzip the package and move the corresponding Aircraft folder into the main FS2004 Aircraft directory.
  2. Locate the included gauge file and place it into the primary Gauge folder.
  3. Transfer all contents found in the Effects folder into the main FS2004 Effects directory.

Virtual Cockpit Configuration

If you plan to utilize the VC, install the VC texture files (if not already present). Then open the aircraft.cfg file, find the line that reads model= and append “VC” immediately after the equals sign. This step switches from the wingview model to the detailed virtual cockpit layout.
