Free Bird Airlines livery brings a crisp, corrected texture set to the SGA McDonnell Douglas MD-83 in FS2004, with refined cabin windows and reworked door details for a cleaner, more authentic airliner look. Textures only, it updates earlier paint issues and requires SGA_MD83.ZIP.

This is my repaint of the superb MD83 by Steve Drabek of SGA. Some of the textures are by Mike Baumann/SGA (side windows and reworked doors). Mike brought out a repaint in Spirit Airlines colours on the same day that mine appeared on flightsim.com - shock horror, but I liked Mike's windows so decided to use them. I asked Nels to pull my file as I discovered one of SGA's original texture files was a bit naughty, so I've modified it and will be uploading my Spirit repaint again soon. It's already on my website.

Extract the contents of this zip file into a temporary location.

Copy the folder 'texture.freebird' into your SGA MD83 folder.

Modifying the aircraft.cfg file...

Copy the section below into your existing SGA MD83 aircraft.cfg file and change the line fltsim.X to have the next number in sequence.
