Textures only, a repaint of SGA's McDonnell Douglas MD83. This is an update to correct some faulty textures. Requires SGA_MD83.ZIP. Original by Steve Drabek/SGA. Some textures by Mike Baumann/SGA. Repaint by Tony Mitchell.
This is my repaint of the superb MD83 by Steve Drabek of SGA. Some of the textures are by Mike Baumann/SGA (side windows and reworked doors). Mike brought out a repaint in Spirit Airlines colours on the same day that mine appeared on flightsim.com - shock horror, but I liked Mike's windows so decided to use them. I asked Nels to pull my file as I discovered one of SGA's original texture files was a bit naughty, so I've modified it and will be uploading my Spirit repaint again soon. It's already on my website.
Extract the contents of this zip file into a temporary location.
Copy the folder 'texture.freebird' into your SGA MD83 folder.
There are some excellent panels that you can use with this aircraft in FS9:
Ken Mitchell's md83_pan.zip and md83_fix.zip
Marco Spada's md80-k4.zip and mdped.zip
Andrew Pritchard put together Marco Spada's panel plus surrounding cockpit views from Marco Diaz and checklist from Werner Schott in his file com_md80.zip
Modifying the aircraft.cfg file...
Copy the section below into your existing SGA MD83 aircraft.cfg file and change the line fltsim.X to have the next number in sequence.
