Description=Lockheed produced the T-33 "Shooting Star" to meet a USAF need for a jet trainer by lengthening the fuselage of the F-80C to provide room for a second seat. The first T-33 was flown in March, 1948. Lockheed built 5,691, Canadair produced another 656, and Kawasaki built 210. The T-33 served in many of the world's air forces for many years.
