This specialized livery set showcases the Fuerza Aerea Mexicana T-33A’s green 45th Anniversary scheme for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, reflecting a historic trainer aircraft that served in various air forces across the globe. It requires the freeware T-33A base model from Massimo Taccoli, along with the relevant fix pack, both of which can be found in the Fly Away Simulation file library. Repainted accurately by Genaro Dominguez, this package highlights unique anniversary markings that honor the longstanding operational history of the T-33 and its service in the Mexican Air Force.
Historic Tribute with a Refined Airframe Design
The T-33 “Shooting Star,” derived from Lockheed’s F-80 platform, initially emerged in 1948 as an advanced jet trainer. Its fuselage was extended to accommodate a second cockpit seat, making it a vital training resource for many air forces worldwide. This particular repaint, honoring the 45th Anniversary of Fuerza Aerea Mexicana operations, incorporates precise coloration and subtle detailing that complements the aircraft’s sleek silhouette while preserving its functional trainer roots. Developed to serve as a stepping stone for pilots transitioning to faster jets, the T-33 once played a crucial role in Mexico’s aerial capabilities.
Artwork by Genaro Dominguez and Massimo Taccoli
The textures here are the collaborative result of Genaro Dominguez’s repaint expertise using the official paint kit from Massimo Taccoli. While Dominguez’s work refines the original T-33 visuals, Massimo Taccoli’s model and design framework underpins the entire aircraft representation. This synergy ensures that every rivet, panel, and marking accurately reflects the real-world T-33, maintaining fidelity to historical references.

Installation Requirements and Additional Files
This livery set does not include the primary T-33 aircraft model, so you will need to download both the T-33A_FSX.ZIP file and FIX_FOR_T-33A_FS9_FSX.ZIP for the base framework and fixes. Once these files are installed, integrate the repaint textures into your existing T-33 folder. Ensure you have backed up any original configuration details just in case adjustments are needed. The steps below outline the recommended aircraft.cfg edits.

Description=Lockheed produced the T-33 "Shooting Star" to meet a USAF need for a jet trainer by lengthening the fuselage of the F-80C to provide room for a second seat. The first T-33 was flown in March, 1948. Lockheed built 5,691, Canadair produced another 656, and Kawasaki built 210. The T-33 served in many of the world's air forces for many years.
Enhanced Realism for Jet Training Enthusiasts
Upon completing these steps, simmers can immerse themselves in a tribute to the Mexican Air Force’s operational legacy. Whether performing formation flights or simply enjoying cross-country hops, this texture only package adds an extra layer of authenticity to the Lockheed-designed jet trainer. The accurate markings reflect the 45th Anniversary classification while preserving the T-33’s recognizable features, offering a balanced blend of heritage and fidelity in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
