FSX Druine Turbulent G-ASAM

Druine D31 Turbulent G-ASAM brings a faithful Tiger Club racer finish to FSX, capturing the Rollasons-built airframe that won the 1969 King’s Cup Air Race flown by Robin d’Erlanger. Requires the FrenchVFR Druine D31 Turbulent base package, with matching registration details and period-accurate visual markings.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

A repaint for the Druine D31 Turbulent from frenchvfr.free.fr (ABD_TURBULENT_FSX-P3D.ZIP). Built by Rollasons at Croydon, c/n PFA595, G-ASAM was delivered to N H Jones in September 1963 for use by The Tiger Club. Flown by Robin d'Erlanger SAM won the King's Cup Air Race in 1969. Severely damaged in a forced landing in bad weather in 1991. Some parts used in restoration of G-APNZ. Repaint by Peter Watkins.

Installation:

Copy the texture folder into the 'abd Turbulent fsx' folder in the FSX 'Airplanes' folder within 'SimObjects' and copy the text below into the aircaft cfg file, replacing the 'xx' with your next number in sequence.

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
