FS2004 Mexicana Douglas DC-7C

Mexicana’s Douglas DC-7C XA-40B comes to life as a late-1950s post-delivery repaint for FS2004, pairing authentic airline textures with an updated GMAX model that better captures the DC-7C’s distinctive vertical fin shape and classic propliner presence. Requires Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper’s DC-7C base aircraft.

This is a repaint (textures and model only) of Tom Gibson's and Greg Pepper's GMAX DC-7C. The included model file is the most recently modified version which more closely captures the distinctive shape of the vertical fin of the DC-7C. This aircraft, XA-40B, is depicted as it appeared shortly after delivery to Mexicana in the late 1950s. By Wayne Tudor.

description=The DC-7C was a complete redesign abandoning the wing of the DC-4 allowing a further substantial increase in fuel and oil capacity. Updated engines gave slightly more power for take off and climb, but since the DC-7C was 17,000lbs heavier than the DC-7B performance was significantly reduced.
