This repaint set provides a vivid red-and-white exterior for Carenado’s payware Cessna 152 model in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, inspired by the authentic 1972 Cessna 150L wearing the registration N17214. Textures also include a harmonized interior finished in red. Developed by Tom Tiedman, this package offers two variants: one with gear fairings (wheelpants) and another without. Please note that this repaint does not include the Carenado payware aircraft itself, which must be purchased separately (for example, via a payware store such as SimShack).
Eye-Catching Red-and-White Scheme
The real-world Cessna 150L, delivered in the early 1970s, serves as the foundation for this design. The color palette combines a bold red primary paint with crisp white accents, mirroring the aircraft’s actual registration of N17214. Inside the cockpit, you will find matching red upholstery, closely replicating the original aircraft’s interior. Being a direct predecessor to the Cessna 152, the C150 series paved the way for one of the most popular two-seat trainer airplanes in the general aviation arena.

Detailed Installation Procedure
- Locate one of your existing Carenado C152 texture folders and copy it to a temporary directory.
- Within that temporary directory, insert the eight enclosed repaint files, along with the two thumbnail images provided. Overwrite any files when prompted.
- Rename the updated folder to: texture.Red N17214.
- Transfer (copy and paste) the texture.Red N17214 folder into your main Carenado C152 airplane directory.
- Return to the temporary folder and rename the freshly added folder to: texture.Red N17214sc (this suffix “sc” differentiates the model without gear fairings).
- Copy and paste the texture.Red N17214sc directory alongside the other Carenado C152 texture sets, giving you two distinct variants.
Updating aircraft.cfg
Append the following entries into your aircraft’s aircraft.cfg file. Replace each “X” with the next available number in your texture sequence.
