Philippine Airlines Airbus A340-300 RP-C3439 textures bring three distinct eras to the Thomas Ruth A340-300 v2 in FSX: the all-white “Albino,” the Sunriser flag livery without a gray belly, and “Shepherd One” with Papal Visit markings, plus an accurate CFM56-5C4 spinner spiral. Requires TOMA343.ZIP base model.

Philippine Airlines Airbus A340-300, registration RP-C3439. Three repaints of the Thomas Ruth A340-300 v2 model featuring RP-C3439's three versions: Albino, Sunriser and Shepherd One. Albino is the all-white pre-PR livery version while the Sunriser is the PR livery version (without gray belly, as in real life). Shepherd One is the Sunriser but with the Papal insignia and 2015 Philippine Papal Visit logo. Textures only; requires base model (TOMA343.ZIP). By Diego Roxas.

Philippine Airlines has leased an Airbus A340-300 (c/n 459 F-WWJU) formerly operated by Iberia (EC-ICF) and is now registered in the Philippine registry as RP-C3439. The three variations in this repaint are 3439's colors for a certain period of time. The "Albino" (what spotters informally called it) version is its all-white colors; only sporting its Philippine registration and an "OPERATED BY PHILIPPINE AIRLINES" sticker. The Sunriser version is in its Philippine Airlines c/s; however, without a gray belly (PR's livery usually has a gray belly BUT this has none in real life). The Shepherd One variation is simply Sunriser but with two more stickers: the Papal insignia and the 2015 Philippine Papal Visit logo. RP-C3439 flew Pope Francis from MNL to FCO after his Papal Visit. All three variations also have a new spinner spiral that is accurate to the real life CFM 56-5C4 spinner spiral.

Installation:

  1. Open your Tom_A340-300 main folder (base packages are available in Flightsim/Avsim)
  2. Copy the folders named "texture.3439blank", "3439PR8010" and "RP-C3439" to the main folder.
  3. Open aircraft.cfg using Notepad/WordPad
  4. Copy the text at "Install codes.txt" file and paste it after the last repaint log. Remember to replace the X in [fltsim.X] with a number greater than the last repaint (+1).
  5. Open FSX and enjoy the repaint!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
