The Cessna C182T Skylane from 2009 holds a distinguished place among light aircraft, often recognized for its reliable Lycoming IO-540 series engine and impressive cross-country capabilities. This repaint, named D-ERTO, has been meticulously crafted by Tim Scharnhop for use on the payware A2A Simulations Cessna C182T Skylane. Although this free add-on includes only the external texture set, it still provides a thoroughly detailed appearance that mirrors the modern Skylane model. Flight simulation enthusiasts who require Microsoft Flight Simulator X compatibility can incorporate this livery seamlessly, as long as they own the necessary payware aircraft.

Authentic Visual Highlights

Through this repaint, you will notice finely rendered structural lines, subtle weathering effects, and carefully placed registration markings—all harnessing the full potential of the A2A Simulations model’s high-resolution textures. The resulting aesthetic closely mimics the real-world 2009 Skylane’s exterior, bringing added immersion whether you’re practicing instrument approaches or embarking on scenic cross-country flights.

Additional Notes

This texture set exclusively replaces the default paintwork with the D-ERTO registration. To use it, you must already own the necessary payware package from A2A Simulations (available separately). The Cessna 182 series is widely favored for private pilot training, cross-country traveling, and general recreational flying, so this repaint aims to reflect that blend of utility and comfort. Tim Scharnhop has carefully replicated the aircraft’s defining features, ensuring faithful detail accuracy for sim pilots who appreciate authenticity. Feel free to enjoy short hops around regional airports or lengthier journeys across the virtual skies with this refined addition to your collection.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
