This repaint brings a detailed recreation of the Cessna C182T Skylane with registration N6218B, originally built in 2008. Designed by Tim Scharnhop, it is intended exclusively for the payware A2A Simulations Cessna C182T Skylane. You will need the commercial product from a vendor such as SimShack before using this livery in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The real Cessna 182 Skylane series has a reputation as a stable platform for cross-country flights, and it can accommodate four occupants with ample baggage space, making it a favorite for both seasoned pilots and advanced training operations.

Specific Livery Attributes

N6218B is distinguished by its crisp accents and precise paint layout, reflecting the aesthetic often associated with newer-generation Skylanes. Included markings and fuselage details capture authentic placards, while the registration is placed in a position consistent with standard GA best practices. This attention to detail ensures each rivet and panel line aligns with the model’s geometry, thereby offering an immersive cockpit-to-exterior transition when flying this single-engine aircraft.

Implementation Steps

  1. Extract all files from the “A2A_C182_N6218B.ZIP” archive to a temporary location, making sure folder structures are preserved.
  2. Locate your main A2A_C182 directory inside the “SimObjects/Airplanes” folder in your primary Microsoft Flight Simulator X installation path. Move the texture.N6218B folder into the A2A_C182 directory.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
