FSX Northrop F-20A Tigershark Update

Northrop F-20A Tigershark gets a focused overhaul for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, delivering refreshed flight dynamics, corrected contact points, and a cleaned panel with working gauges. Updates add an extra autopilot, GPS with NAV/GPS switching, airbrake annunciation, gear lights, and a pitch-trim readout, while retaining a virtual cockpit.

This is an update for FSX of the DSB F-20A. The original file said it was the Iris aircraft, but everything inside the file says it is DSB. All the gauges have been deleted from the panel folder that were not being used and three or four gauges where changed that did not work in FSX. A second autopilot has been added, a GPS, a NAV/GPS switch, an air brake light, gear indicator lights and a pitch trim gauge. The flight dynamics have been redone, including fixing any contact points. This is the whole aircraft. There is a VC, but it looks bad compared with how it looks in FS2004. This will work in FS2004, but not up to specifications. By Bob Chicilo.

Installation:

  • Unzip to a folder of your choice, copy the aircraft to the FSX airplanes folder.
  • Copy the effects to the main FSX effects folder. No need to overwrite anything already there.
  • The gauges are in the panel folder and can be left there, or put into the main FSX gauges folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
