FSX JMSDF PV-2 Harpoon 4578 Bare Metal

RepaintJump to: Screenshots | Comments | File Details

This repaint represents c/n 151480 ex-BuNo 37514, a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon which was delivered to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force Aviation in 1955, as it would have appeared between 1958 and 1960. The JMSDF operated twelve PV-2 and five PV-2D Harpoons between 1955 and 1961, mostly in the role of crew trainer and for ground instruction, as they were replaced in frontline service by P2V-7 Neptunes within a year of their arrival. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FSX Lockheed PV2 Harpoon (HARPFSXV13.ZIP). By Nikko Yaginuma.

  • Place the unzipped texture folder into the folder where you have the Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon installed, e.g. (Flight simulator X)\SimObjects\aircraft\Harpoon
  • Open the Aircraft.cfg file in the Harpoon folder in notepad. Add the following section to the beginning of the file, just below the similar sections already present. Change the x in [fltsim.x] to the next number following the [fltsim. ] sections already present.
