Expert Overview

This detailed scenery package for CBS8 Port Alberni Airport brings the rolling landscape of Alberni Valley to life in both X-Plane 11 and 10. Every inch of the airport’s runway, taxiways, and surrounding features has been carefully modeled, and the included ZL18 ground textures combine realistically rendered terrain with precise topographical details. It creates a more authentic flying experience if you enjoy short-hop approaches or regional flights across British Columbia.

Developed by Canada4XPlane, the mod integrates seamlessly with common libraries such as CDB, JB, FF (extended), MisterX, and OpenSceneryX. It also incorporates AeroPedro’s static aircraft models and ortho imagery from Nonimap for added realism. From my personal test flights in X-Plane 10.51, the airport environment felt impressively immersive, delivering a crisp visual update that truly enhances Port Alberni’s unique character.

This mod was installed, tested and reviewed by Adam McEnroe for Fly Away Simulation. Adam is an FS mod expert. Read his bio here.
