How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

  1. FireBat

Nice tanker w/triple booms, but have to activate booms using the overhead panel in the virtual cockpit.

    1. Did a flight recording w/FSRecorder that included tailhook and many other default parameters. Deployed the boom at cruising altitude using switches on the virtual cockpit overhead panel — it deployed and looked GREAT.
    2. When playing the recording as AI Traffic and trying to snug up to the booms for refueling in my F18, the booms never deployed.

Anyone got any ideas to 'fix' this?

Never had any issues with the KC-135T that I did this with, but it only had one boom and it was deployed still while on the ground... The KC-46 has a tail boom that deploys as a tailhook and works in recording, but is only one boom :-
