Cessna Conquest 441 Makeover refreshes the Flight1 turboprop with a modern repaint, glossy 32-bit HD textures, polished metal details, and a refinished business-style cabin, plus cockpit touch-ups and instrument fixes. For FSX, it also adjusts the nosewheel stance and adds a Garmin 500 popup; requires the licensed Flight1 Conquest 441.

OVERVIEW
If you are like many of us diehard F1 Cessna Conquset 441 fans, you have been flying your favorite bird for at least a year (or 2) now, and you are close to TBO.

Well in addition to getting the engines rebuilt, I decided to spring for a few virtual dollars (and real paint time) to finally get the repaint and cabin that I always wanted.

This texture set has over 100 hours of care invested and features:
1) Real polished aluminum spinners (yea)
2) A fully refinished cabin (designed for the business crowd)
3) 32 bit extended 888-8 HD textures (very glossy)
4) A modern paint scheme inspired by all the good ones out their.
5) A redesigned flight wheel
6) Chrome / aluminum touches all over.
7) Numerous hours of texture cleanup.
8) Fixes the missing instruments in the Virtual cockpit after SP2.
9) Corrects stance so the front wheel is not above ground.
10) Adds the Garmin 500 (Shift 3)
11) Coffee, a new snack and much much more!

INSTALLATION
Simply click and drop the "F1_Cessna_441" folder into your
"..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplane" folder.
Answer YES to the overwrite prompts.

Files that are updated are listed below so you may want to back these up first!

KNOW ISSUES
The spinning prop texture will appear behind some clouds in flight. This will be corrected whan a module update is issued by Flight One. Likewise, the conquest textures do not appear when running in DX10 Preview mode. Here again, my understanding is that a modle update is required to fix this.

I will reissue this texture set when the model updates come available.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Where is the model file? Did the designer miss it—where is the model folder?

*sigh*

I am currently flying the 441 with your paint job on an around-the-world adventure. Only thing is: how to you access those passenger cabin views? With most aircraft when you are in VC view you just keep hitting "A", but that doesn't work with the Cessna.

Really nice work, thanks! This has been my favorite aircraft from the day I installed it. Now, in addition to performing amazingly well it looks amazing too.
