FSX SP2 Flight1 Cessna Conquest II Fix

Flight1’s Cessna Conquest II regains fully working co-pilot gauges and radio stack in the virtual cockpit after installing FSX SP2 by correcting the panel.cfg configuration that can leave those displays blank. The package supplies an updated panel.cfg that restores proper VC panel mapping and improves cockpit usability.

SP2 Flight1 Cessna Conquest II Fix. If you own Flight One's Cessna Conquest II and have installed FSX SP2, you may have noticed that the co-pilot gauges and radio stack are blank in the VC. This is due to a panel.cfg issue with how the VC panels were configured. An updated config file is included here. By Jim Allen.

If you own Flight One's excellent Cessna Conquest II and recently installed FSX SP2, you may have noticed that the Co-Pilot gauges and Radio stack are blank in the VC.

I discovered that this was due to a panel.cfg issue with how the VC panels were configured. I'm not sure why this was not a problem until SP2 however.

Anyway, the fix is to place the updated panel.cfg file to your

Path\simobjects\airplanes\F1_Cessna_441\panel folder. Backup your original to be safe first.

Enjoy

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
