RCAF Douglas Globemaster C.1. A repaint for Jens Kristensen's Douglas C-124C Globmaster II for FSX only. The Douglas Globemaster attracted the attention of the airstaff during the Korean war, and again during the construction of the PINETREE and Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line radar site networks in Canada's north and far north. The C-119 and Bristol Freighter gave yeoman service, but the RCAF lacked the capability to move heavy equipment, S-55 and -58 helicopters, and prefabricated structures to remote sites with out time consuming disassembly, as well as lacking the range/payload for heavy logistic support to Canadian units abroad. Ultimately, the RCAF soldered on with the Boxcar untill intoduction of the C-130 and Yukon in 1960. By Mike Barnes.
