FSX Revised KCLT Scenery

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT) gets a sharper, more current layout for FSX with added C and D concourse gates and jetways, expanded Concourse E US Airways parking, corrected airline assignments, improved GA pushback behavior, new cargo and military ramp spots, plus updated perimeter fencing and service roads. Requires the optional KCLT_Landclass file for cleaner surroundings.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Revised KCLT, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, North Carolina (NC). Updates gates, parking, perimeter fence and vehicle road and more. By Eric Hansen.

This is a revised AFCAD for the default KCLT - Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The following changes have been made:

--Gates C1 and C2 added with jetways.

--One gate added to D concourse with jetway. The gate number on this concourse is not completely correct because I wanted to use as many of the original jetways as possible and MS did not do it correctly.

--Nine gates have been added to Concourse E for a total of 26 USAX gates.

--Other gates have been assigned to the proper airlines based on information in the Charlotte Douglas Airport website.

--Several parking spaces have been added to the North Carolina Air National Guard (RAMP_MIL_CARGO - 4, RAMP_MIL_combat - 3)

--Fuel gates have been removed.

--All RAMP_GA parking has been rotated so that airplanes will face out toward the taxiway and away from the buildings. The gates have been corrected so that none are pushback.

--Parking has been added to the cargo ramp. It has not been assigned to any carriers.

--DOCK spaces have been added to the maintenance facility as RAMP_GA_LARGE and RAMP_GA_MEDIUM. They have not been assigned any airline. Although I believe this facility is used by US Air, I cannot assign the spaces as GATES or the usual retinue of baggage carts and pushback tugs will appear where they don't belong.

--A new perimeter fence and VEHICLE road has been added.

--An additional file KCLT_Landclass is recommended to clean up the stray suburban cul-de-sacs appearing in inappropriate places.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
