FSX MCAS Yuma/Yuma International Scenery

MCAS Yuma and Yuma International Airport scenery refreshes the default field with expanded military, commercial, and GA parking, rebuilt fire station detail with vehicles, and reworked taxiways and aprons aligned to current diagrams. Built entirely from stock objects for FSX, it preserves performance while adding convincing ramp life.

MCAS Yuma/Yuma International Airport (KYUM - KNYL), Yuma, Arizona (AZ). An improved version with added parking, fire station with trucks, static vehicles, adjusted taxiways and aprons and more. By Jim Cook.

MCAS Yuma/Yuma International Scenery.

MCAS Yuma/Yuma International Scenery.

MS didn't do much with military bases in FSX. Here is an improved version of the stock Yuma Airport. I added many Military_Cargo and Military_Combat parking spaces. Replaced the fire station and added fire trucks, added commercial and GA parking, static fork trucks, military trucks, parking lots with cars and light poles. Added, removed, or adjusted taxiways and aprons.

The designation for this airport has been changed from KYUM to KNYL in real life.

I use Just Flight's Military Plus Packs and they work fine with this airport. I also use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

I will be doing other military bases as time permits.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KYUM_JC.bgl and KYUM_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Will this Yuma airport add on work in x-plane?
