Massey Ranch Airport (X50) in Edgewater, Florida gets a detailed refresh with accurate taxiways, aprons, and an FBO, plus improved surrounding landclass for a more believable approach and circuit in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. On-airport residential taxiways and custom hangars and structures add lived-in character across the field.

Installation:

Extract the zip file and move the AddonScenery_Scenery bgl files (X50_ADE_AP.bgl and X50_ADE_AP_CVX.bgl) to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder, and move the Scenery_Global_Scenery bgl file (Airport_Buildings_AP.bgl) to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Scenery folder.

To revert back to FSX default, remove the added bgl files from the Addon Scenery\Scenery folder. The Airport_Buildings_AP.bgl is a library of objects which can be used by any object placement tool and does not need to be removed to deactivate the X50 airport scenery.

This scenery is freeware, and may not be reproduced in whole, or any part for profit. There is no warranty.

Airport modification, landclass changes and object placement were accomplished using Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
