Elblag (Ger: Elbing) aerodrome was found in 1912 by the Germans. It was used by the Lufthansa after the WW1. At the outbreak of WW2, the aerodrome was used by the StG 1 dive bomber unit, which accomplished first combat mission in WW2, attacking Polish shelter in nearby city of Tczew.
After the war, the Elblag aerodrome was used by the Elblag Flying Club.
Elblag is located near Vistula Lagoon and Kaliningrad Oblast. You can create some fun hops to the Gdansk, Gdynia or to aerodromes created by us in Jastarnia and Puck.
This scenery is freeware. It shall not be sold, nor uploaded without author's permission to any FS websites. It shall not be a part of CD/DVD relases as well.
While developing this scenery i used the following software:
-SbuilderX - photoscenery.
-ADE 1.37 - creating aerodrome.
-Whisplacer - object placement.
-Wings 3D and Gmax - 3D objects and fsx export.
-2D software to create texture variations.
I would like to thank Mr. Zbyszek Urbanowski, the author of EPEL sceneries for the FS2002/2004, who allowed me to use textures from his projects, so I was able to depict the scenery as close as I could. Thank you!
Blue skies,
Lukasz Kubacki
