NMG Trading is proud to announce the upcomming release of the Western Cape scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. See the Western Cape, South Africa in detail never seen before!

By purchasing this scenery, you are allowing yourself the privilege of exploring one of the most beautiful areas to see from the air in absolutely stunning detail.

The western cape of South Africa is known around the world for its gorgeous climate and unique geological features. The unique and diverse climate makes the area incredibly fun to fly in, as a portion of the Western Cape has the second most mild climate in the world after Hawaii, which allows you to focus on your flying without having to worry too much about wind and other factors in your flight planning.

One of the more interesting features to observe from the air on the Western Cape is the Cape Fold Belt, which is an incredible geographical feature created by folded sandstone under immense pressure. The pressure makes the ridges of the mountains incredibly sharp, creating stark lines and good texture, which makes for an interesting sight from the air.

There are rivers that cut through the soft sandstone like butter, adding even more variety to the feature from the air. In addition to the beautifully detailed and modeled scenery, the pack contains a highly detailed model of the Cape Town International Airport, which is the fourth busiest airport in all of Africa. It has two runways, one 10,502 feet long and the other is 5,581 feet long as well as several helipads.

Taking off from the airport is a particularly beautiful experience with the nearby Table Mountain visible the whole time. The airport is known for its unique architecture in the terminal area, with a particularly exquisite roof. There are several outbuildings and some tents as well, and all that detail is captured in full in the Western Cape pack in addition to the local scenery files. The scenery pack offers a tremendous area to explore.
