Where can I download iFly 737 MAX liveries for MSFS?

Adam McEnroe
In short

Find iFly 737 MAX liveries for Microsoft Flight Simulator, verify the exact aircraft variant, and install each repaint in the correct folder.

You can find free iFly 737 MAX liveries in Fly Away Simulation’s Microsoft Flight Simulator downloads library. Also check the aircraft’s supplied installer or management utility for any official paint packs. Download only repaints made specifically for the iFly model and variant; liveries built for another developer’s 737 will not work.

Where should you look for iFly 737 MAX repaints?

Search our library using combinations such as iFly 737 MAX, the exact variant and the airline name. Read the file description and requirements rather than relying on the thumbnail or airline alone.

The aircraft’s own management utility is the other place to check. If it includes a livery catalogue, use that for first-party paint packs because the utility normally handles the package location and compatibility itself.

If an exact iFly repaint is not listed, do not substitute a livery made for another 737. Our aircraft-and-developer matching checklist explains how to identify the correct repaint before downloading it.

How can I tell whether an iFly livery will work?

A compatible repaint must name iFly as the developer and identify the required 737 MAX model or variant. Check these details before installing:

  • The required base aircraft is the iFly 737 MAX, not merely a generic 737.
  • The repaint supports the exact model or cabin configuration specified by its creator.
  • The package supports your simulator generation, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, 2024 or both.
  • The description does not require a different developer’s aircraft or a Marketplace-only model.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has its own 737 MAX, but its texture structure is not automatically compatible with the iFly aircraft. A 737-800 repaint is also unsuitable: that aircraft belongs to the earlier 737 NG family rather than the MAX family.

How do I install an iFly 737 MAX livery?

Most community-made iFly liveries are extracted into the PC version’s Community folder, while packs supplied through an aircraft manager should be installed with that manager.

  1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator before changing add-on files.
  2. Extract the download; do not place the ZIP or other archive directly in Community.
  3. Find the actual package folder. It normally contains files such as manifest.json and layout.json. Remove any unnecessary outer wrapper folder.
  4. Move the package into Community. The folder location varies with the simulator edition, store installation and any custom packages path.
  5. Restart the simulator, select the iFly 737 MAX and inspect its available liveries. A repaint may appear beneath the base aircraft rather than as a completely separate aircraft.

Our full Community-folder installation procedure covers package extraction and the different ways to locate the correct folder. Do not modify the aircraft’s protected or streamed base files; simulator and aircraft updates can overwrite those changes.

Why is my iFly 737 MAX livery not showing?

A missing livery is usually caused by the wrong package folder, excessive folder nesting or an incompatible aircraft variant.

  • Confirm that you used the Community folder belonging to the simulator installation you actually launch.
  • Open the installed folder and check that the package files are not buried two or three folders deeper.
  • Verify that the iFly base aircraft is installed, activated and loading correctly.
  • Remove duplicate or older copies of the same repaint.
  • Check the repaint’s requirements again after an aircraft update, particularly if the livery worked before the update.

Can downloaded iFly liveries be used on Xbox or PS5?

PC livery ZIP files cannot be sideloaded on Xbox or PlayStation because consoles do not expose the PC Community folder. Console users can install only content distributed through the simulator’s supported in-sim system, and only when the required iFly aircraft and compatible livery are offered for that platform.
