Find Boeing 737 liveries for MSFS 2024, match each repaint to the correct model and developer, then install it without common folder errors.
You can download Boeing 737 liveries for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 from our MSFS freeware library and, where offered, the in-sim Marketplace. Match each repaint to the exact 737 model, developer and variant: a livery built for one 737 package will not normally work with another.
Which Boeing 737 livery should I download?
Download only a repaint that names your exact aircraft package and 737 variant. The 737 is a family rather than one interchangeable model, and the livery package must reference the correct aircraft files.
- Developer and aircraft package: A repaint for one developer’s 737 cannot usually be installed on another developer’s model.
- Variant: Check whether it covers the 737 MAX 8, -700, -800, -900, freighter or business-jet version you own.
- Simulator generation: Prefer a file explicitly marked for MSFS 2024. An MSFS 2020 label alone does not guarantee compatibility.
- Required base aircraft: Most livery downloads contain textures and configuration files only. They do not include the flyable 737.
For that reason, searching for an airline name plus “737” is not specific enough. Include the developer, variant and simulator—for example, the equivalent of “airline 737 MAX 8 developer MSFS 2024”. Owners of that particular aircraft can use our iFly 737 MAX livery guidance to check the correct package.
Can Xbox and PlayStation 5 use downloaded 737 liveries?
PC users can install third-party freeware manually, while Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 users are limited to compatible content distributed through Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s in-sim Marketplace and library.
| Platform | Available livery sources | Manual installation |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Freeware downloads and in-sim Marketplace | Yes, through the active Community folder |
| Xbox Series X|S | In-sim Marketplace content | No |
| PS5 and PS5 Pro | In-sim Marketplace content | No |
A PC livery archive cannot be copied to a console because console players have no accessible Community folder. A Marketplace release must also support the 737 package installed on that console.
How do I install a 737 livery in MSFS 2024?
On PC, extract the downloaded package and place its correct root folder in the active MSFS 2024 Community folder. The location can vary with the store edition and any custom packages path, so use our Community-folder installation instructions if you are unsure.
- Extract the archive: Do not put the unopened ZIP or RAR archive in the Community folder.
- Find the package root: Open the extracted folders until you reach the folder containing files such as
manifest.jsonandlayout.json. - Copy that folder: Place the package root—not an extra outer download folder—inside the active Community folder.
- Restart the simulator: Select the exact 737 model, then choose the new paint from its available liveries.
Do MSFS 2020 737 liveries work in MSFS 2024?
Some do, but only when the underlying 737 package remains compatible and its livery structure has not changed. A repaint cannot make an MSFS 2020 aircraft compatible with MSFS 2024, and liveries for default aircraft are especially sensitive to model and configuration changes.
Choose a native or explicitly confirmed MSFS 2024 package when one is available. If a download lists only MSFS 2020, check its description and required aircraft rather than assuming backward compatibility.
Why is my Boeing 737 livery not showing?
Most missing 737 liveries result from a nested folder, an aircraft mismatch or a missing base add-on rather than a texture fault.
- Move the folder containing
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsondirectly into the Community folder. - Confirm that the repaint names the same developer and 737 variant selected in the simulator.
- Check that the required payware or freeware base aircraft is installed and enabled.
- Remove an older duplicate copy of the same livery, then restart MSFS 2024.
- Verify that you used the Community folder belonging to MSFS 2024 rather than one retained from MSFS 2020.
