Which London Underground routes are in Train Sim World 5?

Ian Stephens
In short

Train Sim World 5 has one London Underground route: the Bakerloo Line. Learn what it includes, which trains work and how DLC ownership carries over.

Train Sim World 5 has one genuine, fully driveable London Underground route: the Bakerloo Line from Elephant & Castle to Harrow & Wealdstone, operated by the 1972 Mark II Stock. It is legacy-compatible DLC rather than a route supplied automatically with every Train Sim World 5 edition.

Which Underground line can you drive?

The Bakerloo Line add-on recreates the complete passenger route, covering 25 stations and the change from deep-level central London tunnels to the open-air section north of Queen's Park.

Services are dominated by frequent station stops, short signal sections and precise platform work. Some runs terminate before Harrow & Wealdstone, reflecting the line's different service patterns rather than a missing part of the route.

Is the Bakerloo Line included with Train Sim World 5?

The Bakerloo Line is not part of every Train Sim World 5 package. It originated in an earlier Train Sim World release and works in TSW5 through the simulator's compatible-content system.

If you already own the route, it should be available within the same supported storefront and platform ecosystem once installed. Ownership does not generally transfer between unrelated platforms or storefronts. Our breakdown of TSW4 and TSW5 content compatibility explains the distinction between bundled routes and older compatible DLC.

Why is the Bakerloo Line missing from TSW5?

A missing route usually means its separate content package has not been installed, or the storefront has not recognised the previous entitlement.

  1. Confirm ownership: check that the account launching TSW5 owns the Bakerloo Line add-on.
  2. Check the platform: make sure the route was bought within the same storefront and console or PC ecosystem.
  3. Install the route separately: installing TSW5 does not necessarily download every add-on in an existing collection.
  4. Restart the simulator: after installation or entitlement restoration, close TSW5 fully before checking the route selection again.

A common mistake is assuming ownership of an older base game automatically grants all of its bundled routes on another platform. The route licence, account and installation all need to line up.

Do other London routes count as London Underground?

No. Train Sim World 5 supports several London-based routes, but London location or Transport for London branding does not make them Underground lines.

  • West Coast Main Line South is a National Rail main line from London Euston.
  • London Commuter represents the Brighton Main Line from London Victoria.
  • Suffragette Line is London Overground, which is separate from London Underground.

These routes may meet Underground services at shared stations or depict Underground infrastructure as scenery, but they do not let you drive a Tube service. For the wider selection beyond London Underground, see our guide to route availability across Train Sim World.

Can you drive other London Underground trains?

The 1972 Mark II Stock is supplied with the Bakerloo route, while the optional 1938 Stock add-on provides a historic alternative when both products are owned and installed.

Other familiar fleets, including Central, Northern, Jubilee and sub-surface line stock, are not added by the Bakerloo package. Creators Club liveries can repaint compatible trains, but they cannot create a missing train model, cab or route. Free Roam may permit unconventional consists, yet that does not turn them into authentic Underground stock or supply the correct signalling and operating characteristics.
