Procedures and runways

Westfield-Barnes has seven approach charts spanning ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, yet they serve only two of its four runway ends. Instrument coverage is therefore varied but concentrated on selected directions. Runway 02/20 provides 9,000 ft, while the crossing 15/33 provides 5,000 ft; any operation requiring more than 5,000 ft is confined to the 02/20 alignment.

Surrounding chart coverage

Bradley International has the broadest nearby procedure set. Westover ARB/Metro and Hartford-Brainard are closer to Westfield-Barnes in overall chart volume, while Northampton and Turners Falls have much thinner coverage. The New York Sectional supplies wider-area VFR context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
