Procedure coverage

Westover’s six approaches combine ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures, providing both precision and satellite-based options. They serve only two of the airport’s four runway ends, so instrument coverage is concentrated on one end of each runway or both ends of a single runway; the published charts determine the exact arrangement.

Runways and regional context

The two differently aligned runways offer markedly different distances. Any operation requiring more than 7,085 ft has only runway 05/23’s 11,597 ft available by length. Nearby, Westfield-Barnes has slightly broader chart coverage and Bradley International considerably more, while Northampton, Southbridge and Turners Falls have much thinner procedure sets. The New York Sectional adds regional visual context beyond the airport diagram and terminal instrument procedures.
