Battle Mountain has two almost identically sized runway alignments, each about 7,300 ft long, so substantial runway length is available on either axis. Instrument coverage is narrower: three approaches serve only two of the four runway ends. Two use RNAV (GPS), while the VOR procedure provides the sole non-GPS option. The airport diagram also covers the two 60 ft concrete helipads alongside the runway layout.
Chart coverage at the neighbouring fields is closely matched rather than markedly thinner: Winnemucca Municipal has seven published charts, while Elko Regional has six, the same total as Battle Mountain.
