Biggs AAF’s three approach plates provide ILS/localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, but all serve the same end of Runway 04/22. This concentrates the published instrument access on one direction; the opposite end has no listed approach. The single 13,554 ft concrete runway provides substantial physical length for aircraft needing a long take-off or landing run, while offering no alternative runway alignment.
El Paso International, 3 nm south, has a much broader procedure set with 34 charts. Las Cruces International matches Biggs AAF’s total of six, while Dona Ana County International Jetport has much thinner coverage with two. The Albuquerque and El Paso sectional charts add broader VFR context around Fort Bliss and El Paso beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
