Boise’s 16 approach plates serve all four ends of its two parallel runways, so the instrument coverage is not concentrated on a single direction or strip. The mix combines ILS, RNAV (GPS), VOR and localiser procedures, with one ILS also carrying CAT II/III minima. At 10,000 ft and 9,763 ft, the conventional runways differ by only 237 ft, leaving no markedly shorter parallel alignment.
Mountain Home AFB has the broadest procedure set among the nearby fields, although its ten charts remain well short of Boise’s coverage. Nampa Municipal has six, while Caldwell Executive, Mountain Home Municipal and Ontario Municipal each have four. The Salt Lake City Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context not shown by the terminal procedures.
