Cairo Regional’s instrument coverage is limited to two RNAV (GPS) approaches, each serving a different one of the airport’s four runway ends. The other two ends have no published approach, and there is no non-GPS approach option. No airport diagram is published.
The two runway alignments provide different directional choices, while the 4,001 ft runway offers 801 ft more length than the 3,200 ft runway. Nearby chart coverage varies markedly: Cape Girardeau Regional and Barkley Regional have much broader procedure sets, while Mississippi County and Sikeston Memorial Municipal are similarly sparse. Mayfield Graves County is only slightly better covered. The St Louis sectional supplies the broader visual context absent from the airport’s compact instrument set.
