Approach coverage on both runway ends

Majors has instrument approaches to both ends of its single 8,030 ft runway. The seven procedures provide several forms of guidance: ILS and localiser coverage alongside RNAV (GPS) and VOR options. This gives the chart set more depth than a single procedure for each direction. The runway length accommodates aircraft requiring substantial take-off or landing distance, although the single-strip layout provides no alternative runway alignment.

Regional chart context

Among the nearby fields, Ralph M Hall/Rockwall Municipal has much broader procedure coverage, while Caddo Mills, Commerce, Sulphur Springs and Terrell have markedly thinner sets. Two overlapping sectional charts place Greenville in wider VFR context, while the Dallas-Ft Worth Terminal Area Chart adds more detailed coverage of the surrounding terminal region.
