Go PROFrom the Cross Timbers west of Fort Worth to the Blackland Prairie beyond Dallas, this chart takes in the full breadth of the Metroplex and its surrounding north-central Texas countryside. Coverage extends north towards the Red River country and south across the rolling terrain below the main urban area. Dense development, major transport corridors and numerous reservoirs contrast with more open farmland and ranch country towards the edges of the sheet.
The Terminal Area Chart concentrates on the Dallas–Fort Worth urban region at a closer scale than the corresponding Sectional Aeronautical Chart. The sectional is the better companion for placing the Metroplex within a longer cross-country route across Texas, while this sheet provides the more focused terminal-area view. An FAA Helicopter Route Chart also covers the same place, presenting information specifically organised for helicopter operations within and around the metropolitan area.
