Instrument approaches serve only two of Purdue University Airport’s four runway ends. The four plates combine ILS and localiser coverage with two RNAV (GPS) procedures and a VOR option, providing both ground-based and satellite-based approaches but concentrating them on half of the available runway directions. The 6,600 ft runway offers 2,375 ft more length than runway 05/23, so runway selection materially changes the distance available.
Crawfordsville Regional’s six-chart set is the closest nearby comparison in breadth. Frankfort Clinton County Regional and White County each have four charts, while Delphi Municipal and Kentland Municipal have notably thinner coverage. The Chicago Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context that airport diagrams and terminal procedures do not provide.
