Every end of La Crosse Regional’s three runways has a published approach. RNAV (GPS) provides most of that coverage, supplemented by ILS and localiser procedures. The runway lengths also create a clear distinction: any aircraft requiring more than 6,050 ft of runway has only 18/36 available on length alone, while shorter requirements allow a choice of three alignments.
Sparta/Fort Mc Coy and Winona Municipal/Max Conrad Field have the broadest nearby procedure sets, though each remains smaller than La Crosse’s. Houston County, Viroqua Municipal and Rushford Municipal/Robert W Bunke Field have markedly thinner coverage.
