Mission Field’s two published approaches—one RNAV (GPS) and one VOR—serve only a single runway end. Instrument arrivals are therefore concentrated on that end, with no published approach serving the other five ends across the three-runway layout.
Runway 04/22 is the field’s only asphalt runway and, at 5,701 ft, is substantially longer than either turf strip. It is consequently the sole option for aircraft requiring more than 3,762 ft of runway or an asphalt surface. Among nearby airports, Bozeman Yellowstone International has a much broader chart set with 25 publications; the other listed fields have three to five, broadly comparable with Mission Field’s five. The Billings and Great Falls sectional charts add regional VFR context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
