Pocatello Regional’s four instrument approach plates serve only two of its four runway ends, concentrating instrument coverage on selected directions rather than every available alignment. The mix includes ILS and localiser guidance alongside two RNAV (GPS) approaches and a VOR procedure, providing both satellite-based and ground-based options. With the shorter of the two runways still measuring 7,150 ft, selecting the secondary alignment does not mean relying on a short strip.
Idaho Falls Regional has the broadest nearby procedure set, while McCarley Field is closer to Pocatello in overall chart coverage. Arco-Butte County and Burley Municipal have much thinner sets. The Salt Lake City sectional adds the surrounding visual context that is outside the airport diagram and terminal procedure plates.
