McCarley Field’s compact set is weighted towards arrivals, with three approaches against two departure procedures. The two RNAV (GPS) approaches make satellite-based guidance the main approach form, while the VOR approach provides a non-GPS procedure type. Runway 01/19 is the sole alignment, and its 4,314 ft length is the field’s only runway-length envelope; there is no second, longer strip.
Idaho Falls Regional has substantially broader chart coverage, while Pocatello Regional’s set is slightly broader than McCarley Field’s. Rexburg-Madison County and Arco-Butte County have thinner procedure sets. The Salt Lake City Sectional adds wider VFR and geographic context around Blackfoot that the terminal procedures do not provide.
