Cameron County has eight runway ends, but both published approaches serve just one of them. The choice is between RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures rather than coverage for different landing directions. With no published airport diagram, the chart set provides no dedicated view of the four-runway ground layout. Runway 13/31, at 8,001 ft, is substantially longer than the other three, which range from 4,200 to 5,317 ft.
Nearby procedure coverage varies sharply. Valley International has the broadest set at 23 charts, while Brownsville/South Padre Island International and Mc Allen International also exceed Cameron County’s four-chart set. Mid Valley and South Texas International at Edinburg match it. The Brownsville Sectional supplies wider VFR context, while the US Gulf Coast Helicopter Route Chart adds helicopter-route coverage absent from the instrument procedures.

No — Cameron County has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
4, which is why the chart set is as large as it is — each runway end that supports an instrument approach needs its own plates. The runway diagram on this page shows the layout to scale.
