Approach coverage across both runways

Springfield-Branson’s procedure set serves all four runway ends, rather than concentrating instrument access on a single alignment. The mix of ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provides both precision ILS coverage and several forms of non-precision guidance. With the shorter runway still exceeding 7,000 ft, substantial runway length is available on both alignments rather than being confined to the 8,000 ft runway.

Regional chart context

Nearby procedure coverage is much thinner: Bolivar Municipal and Stockton Lake each have four charts, while Downtown, Jerry Sumners Sr Aurora Municipal and Branson West Municipal/Emerson Field each have three. None has a chart set comparable in breadth to SGF’s. The Kansas City Sectional adds the wider VFR planning context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures and diagram.
