Approach coverage

Four approaches serve both ends of Licking County Regional’s sole runway. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures are complemented by VOR and localiser approaches, so the instrument coverage is not confined to one navigation method. All arrivals ultimately use the same 4,649 ft runway alignment, with no second runway orientation available.

Chart context

Fairfield County and Knox County have chart sets comparable in size to KVTA’s, while Ed Newlon Field has markedly thinner coverage. John Glenn Columbus International and Rickenbacker International have substantially broader procedure collections. The Cincinnati and Detroit sectional charts add the wider VFR context around Newark that the airport’s terminal procedures do not provide.
