Procedure coverage

Unalakleet’s three approaches serve two runway ends, so instrument arrivals are not concentrated on a single direction. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures provide satellite-based options, while the localiser adds a ground-based approach type. Two obstacle departure procedures give the chart set a distinct departure component despite its modest size. No airport diagram is published.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The 5,900 ft runway offers far more usable length than the 1,900 ft strip; the shorter runway constrains the range of aircraft able to use that alignment. Nearby procedure coverage is uniformly thinner: Elim comes closest with five charts, while Shaktoolik, St Michael and Kaltag each have four. The Bethel, McGrath and Nome sectionals add broader VFR context beyond the airport-specific arrival and departure procedures.
