FSX / P3D

Salt Lake City International UT

Salt Lake City International Airport (KSLC) gets a practical refresh for the default FSX scenery, with correctly ordered and resized gates, added animated jet bridges, expanded parking and fuel services, and new start locations for the helipads. A rebuilt support-vehicle road network links terminals, cargo, and GA areas to keep ground traffic flowing smoothly.

Salt Lake City International Airport (KSLC), Utah (UT). Updates the default scenery with gates in the correct order, extra animated jet bridges, resized gates, added start locations, additional fuel trucks, rebuilt support vehicle road and more. By Ray Smith.

As requested, this BGL file is only for the FSX default airport: Gates now numbered in the correct order, with extra animated jetBridges added where appropriate, my thanks to Patrick Finch for his help with this, many gates resized where possible with assigned parking including extra parking, start locations added to the three helipads, additional fuel trucks, the support Vehicle road around the terminals has been completely rebuilt and Linked together including both Cargo areas and the GA apron, this gives easier access for the support vehicles, this has now virtually eliminated support vehicles from using the taxiways and causing holdups, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view), my thanks to Jim Vile and Reggie Fields for their information to get these files operating in FSX, please view the readme before installation, fully tested with Ultimate Traffic but not required.

To Install:

  1. Simply take the BGL file "FSX_kslc.BGL" and place it into: Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/Scenery Folder.
  2. Start up the Flight sim and the changes will be present.

To Uninstall:

  1. Delete the FSX_kslc.BGL file and the default will then be active.

I hope you like the improvements, this is only a basic gate change with a few more changes and a general tidy up. If any MS errors are here they will still remain until an AFCAD style program is available.

Lee Swordy is surely missed but not forgotten.

TIP: When at KSLC in tower view: go to your control settings and look for the "View track/pan Toggle". Allocate a keyboard key stroke to it (i allocated a button on my X52 controller) this will unlock the user aircraft, then you can use the hat switch to pan 360 degrees around the airport, hitting the key stroke again (in my case a button) will return you to the user aircraft position.

Enjoy and happy flying.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
